EKG Technician Certification
This course provides basic knowledge of the anatomy and physiology of the heart and heart function. Subject matter includes proper patient information input into the Electrocardiogram (EKG) equipment and preparation and lead placement for obtaining accurate and clear electrocardiograms. The course includes 21 hours of classroom instruction and 16 hours of clinical work. Upon successful completion of the course, students will be eligible for certification (via exam) by the National Health Career Association (NHA)
