Basic Digital Photo 2

This course follows the Basic Digital Photography 1 course. Use and understanding of basic digital camera controls will be explained and then put to use through in-class and out-of-class projects. Students will learn the fundamentals of image composition through the principles of design and exploration of various photographers. There will be presentations and projects on exposure controls, using the light meter; the study of light; white balance and color and compositional dynamics. In addition, we will examine successful photographs of people, places and things to discover what makes them ’work’. There will be assignments and weekly critiques of work. Further exploration of Photoshop will be included to correct images.
Students should bring their camera gear and Operating manuals, and a flash drive.
