HCC OFFERING ANGER MANAGEMENT COURSE IN FEBRUARY

BRIDGEPORT – Housatonic Community College is offering a non-credit Anger Management course starting Feb. 24.

Everyone experiences anger as an emotion, but every person also has the ability to control their angry outbursts and possible aggressive behavior. The six-week Managing Your Anger to Resolve Conflicts course covers specific techniques to manage anger and the consequential behaviors that may lead to conflict.

The course will show how to identify and define the feelings and behaviors that precede and follow anger provoking situations. More important, it will cover “conflict resolution.”

The class will meet Saturdays, Feb. 24-April 14 (no class 3/24, 4/7), from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. The fee for the course, taught by instructor Edward F. Zumaeta, is $149,

“This is one in a series of courses we offer for professional improvement or personal enjoyment,” said Deborah S. Kuchmas, HCC Coordinator of Continuing Education. “These are fast-track, no-nonsense courses designed to give you what you want, when you want it.”

Courses are graded on a Pass/Fail basis. Due to limited space, individuals are encouraged to register early. To register for classes or for more information, contact Kuchmas at 203-332-5150 or Carmen Medina at 203-332-5057.
