BRIDGEPORT – Housatonic Community College is offering a two-week course in Grant Writing starting Feb. 3.

The course, which will meet Feb. 3 and Feb 10, will cover grant-writing basics, including general guidelines, language, statement of need, cover letter, executive summary, evaluation, and budget. The class is recommended for individuals involved in grant procurement and grant preparation.

“This is one of many courses we offer for professional advancement or personal enjoyment,” said HCC Continuing Education Coordinator Deborah S. Kuchmas. “Courses like Grant Writing can help you sharpen those skills you need for a better evaluation, job change or promotion.”

“These are fast-track, no-nonsense courses designed to give you what you want, when you want it,” she said. “They’re ideal for people who want to improve their skills fast.”

The class, to be taught by Beverly Salzman, meets from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. in Room B113. The fee is $149.
