NEW HAVEN ARTIST WILL DONATE WORKS TO ST. ANN ELEMENTARY SCHOOL THURS, 5/1

New Haven artist Blaine Kruger will donate three of his works, which appeared in the Illustrating Connecticut exhibit at Housatonic Community College, to St. Ann Elementary School at a special ceremony Thursday, 5/1. The three colored-pencil works, The Mad Hatter, Wiffle Ball and P.T. Barnum, were created specifically for the show. “Students at the school showed a particular interest in these works during a tour of the exhibit earlier this year,” said Kruger, who is public relations associate at HCC. “For that reason, I decided to donate the works to the school so the children could enjoy them.” A reception in Kruger’s honor will be held in the school library from 10-10:30 in the school library. At 10:45, Kruger will formally present the works to the school at an honors assembly in the school auditorium. St. Ann School is located at 521 Brewster St. in Bridgeport.
