HCC TO OFFER FORUM ON CUSTOMER SERVICE

BRIDGEPORT – Customer service. For a business, it can mean the difference between success or failure.

It may seem simple, but it’s difficult to achieve. It means striking a delicate balance between encouraging a purchase and overselling, anticipating a sale but not jumping the gun.

On Wednesday, May 20, a panel of experts including area businesspeople; non-profit administrators; manufacturing, product sales and service professionals; and others whose business depends on effective customer service will share their secrets to success. In a morning session, panelists will field questions from attendees and each other while, during the afternoon session, attendees will meet in smaller break-out groups to discuss or role-play issues raised in the morning session.

“To survive or excel in this economy, most businesses stand to benefit from refining the crucial areas of their business operations,” said Director of Continuing Education Debbie Kuchmas. “Customer service is one such area. It can make or break a business.”

The morning session will be held from 9 to 11:30 a.m., while the afternoon session will be held from noon to 2:30 p.m. Both sessions will be held in Room A101 in Lafayette Hall at the college.

The fee for both sessions is $75 per person ($70 for groups of four or more registering at the same time.), including a continental breakfast and light lunch.  For the morning session only, the fee is $60, which includes the breakfast.

Pre-registration is required.
