CHILD ID PACKETS AVAILABLE AT HCC LAW ENFORCEMENT JOB FAIR 3/26

FREE, OPEN TO PUBLIC,
10 A.M TO 2 P.M.

BRIDGEPORT – The New York Life Insurance Company will offer its child safety and protection program to people attending  Housatonic Community College’s  second annual Law Enforcement Job Fair Friday, March 26.

Program representatives will be on hand to prepare identification kits for each child visiting the fair. Critical identification information such as digital fingerprints, photos and a data card will be burned on a CD, which will be given to parents.

In the event that a child is missing, the CD can be given to police to help them find the child. Parents must present identification in order for their children to participate in the program.

Representatives from some 20 organizations, including state and federal law enforcement agencies and security operations, will be on hand to provide information and take applications. The exhibitors  include the U.S. Coast Guard; the U.S. Marine Corps.;  Immigration and Customs Enforcement;  the Secret Service;  the Connecticut Department of Environmental Protection’s Environmental Conservation Police;  the Connecticut State Police; the state judicial marshals, and the Bridgeport, Naugatuck, New Britain, Stamford, Stratford, and Fairfield Police Departments.

Also exhibiting will be the private security firm Securitas, and Charter Oak University, Sacred Heart University and Albertus Magnus College.

The event will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Events Center in Beacon Hall.

There is still time for agencies to sign up for the event. Call Joanne Anzenberger at 203-332-5212 for more information.
