BRIDGEPORT – Housatonic Community College is offering a two-week course in grant writing beginning June 11.

The non-credit course covers grant-writing basics, including general guidelines, statements of need, cover letters, executive summaries, evaluations and budgets. The class is recommended for individuals involved in grant procurement and grant preparation.

The class, to be taught by instructor Beverly Salzman, meets Mondays, June 11 and June 18 from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. in Beacon Hall, Room 125. The fee is $149. A second course will be held, Mondays, July 16 and July 23 from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. in Beacon Hall, Room 133. The fee is $149. A third course will be held, Friday, July 27 from 9:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. in Beacon Hall, Room 125. The fee is $149. Courses are graded on a Pass/Fail basis.
