Many, if not most, organizations have websites. The legal issues relating to the development and operation of websites are evolving, but only a few questions have begun to be answered. This course, taught by an intellectual property attorney, focuses on four fundamental issues relating to websites: trademark (including use of metatags); copyright (including ownership of sited developed by contractors); linking; and electronic commerce conducted through websites.
